Run: 5.5 Miles, plus another 4.5mi.
Easy effort

A groggy wakeup is always the consequence of eating too many sweets before our 7:30am practices the next day. Every time I fall down this rabbit hole, which is frequently, I am always looking for a good crew to run with to let the miles go by a bit faster.  This segment is part of a much larger, more historical route called Tibbetts Brook, which is an actual brook underneath the street level and had a railroad on top of it through the Bronx up to Tarry Town and beyond. Here is a picture of the underground brook.

On the first segment of this run, we discussed the resale market of Supreme clothing. I saw a documentary yesterday about this racket and some of the young players involved who are trying to make a quick buck. However, the more scale someone can achieve, such as Unique Hype- a Chinatown reseller, they leverage their supply for the market demand and drive pricing. Some of the influencers who push this market are major music producers, athletes, and celebrities. Since this label has a stronghold in media, the demand will always outweigh the fickle supply. However, Supreme's approach to their outstanding success is to hold true to their label which contrasts the 'sell out' mantra. They may license their products, but they do not allow for the massive scaling with purchasing orders from major retailers like Kohls or Macys. Other street brands, such as Quicksilver, immediately sprung for the market and their dwarfed following, in comparison to Supreme, has taken a hit.

These fashion brands have a tough task on their hands since they always need to bear in mind the needs of the market.

It was a fun conversation that I had with G Cipri and Nick Raefski, who is trying to start his fashion brand- Strictly Original. This weekend we're headed up to Boston for a major meet that features some of the fastest times in the country every year. This meet produces the most sub-4 miles out of any meet in the country, year after year. I am looking forward to getting up there for a 3k, just a hair short of 2 miles with my buddy Ryan Kutch and Fritz Heinrich. Everyone is fit and this year we are poised for a special showing at A10's based on our talent pool and consistency.
